Hi, some of you know I am from the USA, and I am coming to visit London for a few days, and then going to Glasgow to my daughters wedding.... Does anyone know of a good place to stay cheap...Hotel, B and B? Areas to avoid, to go.... Scooter places to visit? and shop? Good Food..... If you have any suggestions....please help me out, since I have never been on your side of the pond before...Thanks, Greg
I don't have any reservations yet....Heard Belgravia is a nice area to stay in... I am looking for a cheap but clean and safe place to stay for a couple of days.....handy to the tube.... Are there any good scooter stores in London for parts and accessories, that I can smuggle back to the states?
balham in south west london is a decent enough place , local tube station and railway asweel, loads of b&b's there, loads oif local bars, 20 min walk to clapham were theres clubs bars and all sorts more. tooting down the road has mac motors who have a few tunning goodies in store, 2 wheels ahead in croydon also stock aftermarket parts . oh , balham is fairly cheap too
How much of a complete 125cc Typhoon you think I can get in my luggage???? I can just see myself at the airport parking lot, putting together my smuggled Typhoon to get it back to town! It would be easy to register it....all I need is a bill of sale here for my new "50cc" moped..... The police around here, in the USA, don't know the difference!!! Mmm, might have to peel off those 125 stickers though......
would be well worth exporting one over though you could get cases and wireing etc in your lugae but might take some explaining so you could convert your 50
go to http://www.travellodge.co.uk or http://www.premierinn.co.uk you have your fast food places like mcdonalds burger king kfc all over the place. some very nice restaurants in central london as well
Guess I can eat Mac D's over here too....but really looking for the good side of town, the bad side to avoid....A place to stay thats cheap, with parking...going to rent a car....but don't want to drive in the mess...going to take the tube and bus while in London......any other sugguestions? Scooter shops, good cheap local food places to eat.... (That 125 would need a lot of work to convert, got my full Motorcycle Permit, so really if I wanted to step up....I would buy a 200cc or 250cc Vespa....)
