I'm trying very to spend some money at scooter centre but they don't seem to want it???? :(

Anyway, seeing that I'm in Australia and they are in Germany, do I have to pay the German VAT or am I exempt seeing the items are going to a non EU country?

I have been getting conflicting answers and I don't want some bozo charging me then pocketing 17%.

from what i thought it doesnt matter where you live its not you which theoretically has to pay the VAT its the company selling the product, but they just add it on to the price, which is fair.

scoooter centre finally got back to me. I don't have to pay VAT!!!

In theory, I should pay Aussie duty :w00t: but there are ways to vastly reduce this.
