i just bought a typhoon 125, and ive come to renew/ replace rollers, and the variator is stuck on the crank! the front pulley has stipped aswell. can anyone give me any ideas on where to start in getting the variator off, ive gave it a little tug, but dont wanna damage anything.

    cheers

What exactly is stuck? Variator/steel spacer on the crank?

The variator and the long spacer that goes through the variator centre.

Gently prize it off and keep turning it round to lever other side.

Lots of WD40 along the shaft. It will come out eventually but as suggested prise it around the back edges with a large screwdriver shaft while tapping the front centre with a wooden or rubber mallet( or block of wood). You may need to give it some hard, jerky leverage. Be a little ruthless. Don't hit the end of the threaded shaft with a metal hammer though as it will damage the lead thread. Lightly Grease the spindle on reassembly.
