variator question !!!!!

    Guyz i got a a variator from a friend of mine its the polini 9roller i have everything the picture shows except the thing im pointing with the red arrow can you tell me whats that ?How is it called ?I want to buy it ! Cause i cant install that vari without that!

    Looks like the vario spacer washer.

    A lot of variator set-ups need the ramp either spacing out or the front pulley bringing in so the makers provide spacers.You need to find out the width of this spacer and use a washer of the same width.
    It will run without it but apart from a performance loss as its not running as the manufacturer intended the belt will wear unevenly as it`s not central to the pulleys and you run the risk of it snapping.

    Thanks a lot mate :D I'll just have to find out the width of this washer-spacer. If anybody knows let me know please .

    must be someone with a 9 roller variator who can measure their washer :hmm:

    if you measure the width of the shaft, you can go to a hardware shop or B&Q and buy some packing washers, then add the washers to the rear of the variator untill the front pulley is in line with the rear pulley....then measure the width of your packing washers, and thats the thickness of the spacer you need ;)

    You can try going to scooter-attack.com and inquiring if they have washers for that vario, which they probably have since I saw that product from their Shop section.
