any variator will give better acceleration because they potomise the engines power for pure acceleration rather than nice soft use (stock are made to pull nicely without straning the engine) the ramps in any aftermarket variator are desighned for maximum speed/accel rather than engine life. ive used all of them and found the multivar to be a verry nice peice of kit but the polini overrange adds top speed aswell as optomising accel so in my book its the best of the bunch. ether way your bike will sit flat at full revs all the way through the transmissions transitional period at the expence of engine life

short answer is speed = dead engine quicker. tuning parts take full advantage of this but who cares. speed is everything. parts are cheap

well it will put more strain on the belt.. so dependin on how old ure standard 1 is.. cud depend on how long before it snaps

well it says that the polini drive belt will give better acceleration so im going to get one anyway. i love the spec of ur mbk hursty and the doppler s3r exhaust is a gud choice ;)

will all be malossi stuff soon.. as ive heard that the malossi multivar is better than the polini kit

but what gets me.. is that malossi dont make their own parts..

but polini build engines.. yet malossi are better

because i've had one on my area51 for 23,000 miles now and it's still looking pretty fresh, there is a distinct wear groove but its as strong if not stronger than OE and i can't fault the power delivery once setup right (although getting roller weights right seems more tempremental than stock)

i used a dayco for about 4000 miles then replaces with a kevlar x and that did 10,000, now on the second kevlar x (would recomend changing after 5000), belts both still in one peice but getting a bit worn (top speed is down and acceleration isnt as good as before.

yes, ive used them both, multivar gives good flat accel yet the overrange polini gives more top speed aswell. so polini is my vote as its less than 60 with a belt
