Hello, after buying a scooter than had been sat for a while, I charged the battery, changed oil, fresh fuel, cleaned carb and have had it running. However it is not starting easily at all, most attempts being unsuccessful, Ive decided it could possibly be the valves that need adjusting, however when trying to do so I cannot reach them as the case covering them is on extremely tight, any help as how to undo these very tight bolts, many thanks
penetraion fluid , or a couple mild taps using an impact wrench gun , its possible they got torqued down to tight or an overzelous mech stuck thread locker on them to stop em rattling out
Thanks, what is the best penetration liquid or is there any household items that work well as penetration liquid, such as Coca-cola or diesel
i wouldnt wanna dredge derv around the head to be honest, wd-40 is one that comes to mind most have a can on the shelf in the garage, just give it a blast, let it soak for a good hour then hit it again with another blast , do this a good few times so it can leach in and get to work, then its just fingers crossed and trying to crack them bolts out without them breaking or sheering off
