I've got a Benelli k2 100 sitting in my yard un-used, its becoming a eyesore so, how much is it worth?

Needs new piston (it doesn't run due to knackered piston), bore = cyl head is ok.

got tax & test till end of December. (keys + v5 present)

    Ratty bodywork, rusty techinas exhaust.

good tyres + brakes + unmolested electrics..

    Thanks :)

200-300 sounds expensive to me, I've just bought a 55 plate nrg power, needs barrel/piston, t+t good condition for £190. And it will be for sale soon!

Fair play on not insulting but sometimes truth is the only way, he could want to sell it, advertise for £250 and get no callers due to being to expensive. Give a realistic price guide and he knows where he stands. It's only worth what someone want's to pay for it!

totally agree mate , but £150-200 for a cheap run around with tax and mot and alls it needs is a top end id say that's a bargain i bet it uses the aerox 100 engine , in which case a new top end is like 80 quid for a good one so id say its a bargain , better than the Chinese range of scooters out there , and as for its only worth what some wants to pay for it , that's the same with most bikes for sale you can ask what ever price you want but it's what some one else is willing to pay for it realistically

Thanks guys :) I'll put it down as 170-180 then. Yep it uses yamaha 100 engine, new barrel & piston is 60 quid off eBay! I'm tempted to sort it out get it running then sell it for more but I really cba to lol.

So I took the whole top end off today, but unsure if I should just replace the piston (£16) or both barrel and piston (£59.99) the original barrel feels + look ok to me, it has a few score marks. There isn't any oversize piston so would it be fine to replace it with a new standard size piston?

If it were me I'd change the barrel too, while your there you may as well. Especially if its got scores.
