Won't be a bad if you give them a ring,
    Some people/organisations need a nudge
    occasionally!,
You might also take into account what day of
the week you applyed for as some only take into
    account m-f.

its only been a week, no need to give them a ring yet, leave it until the stated 4 weeks that dvla say to give them then send off the new keepers section or call them up if you don't have it within 4 weeks.

well they apparently handle hundreds of thousands of applications etc etc each day (more like drink that much tea/coffee each day) compared to back in marks day when they only had the 1 or 2 a day ;) lol, I say wait 4 weeks, if you don't get it by then just send off the new keepers section and youll get it, theres a possibility the previous owner didn't send off, I usuall get my logbooks around 4-5 weeks after I buy so I wait that long then send off green slip lol

    Patience is a virtue mate,
You'll be laughing about why the wait later!.,
I can see loosing your slip might put a spanner in
the mix,s..t happens - just have to grin an bear it,
it's more than likely bumped up a little on how long
    it's gonna take to sort it out.mk. :) .
