Using Hylomar as a gastet accompliment

    Should I use this stuff on my base gasket?I used to use it on cars many moons ago on thermostat housings ect.
    Or is it a bad idea on scooters?

    if the base gasket is good quality and brand new then theres no reason to use blue hylomar as well, infact using both could actually lower the compression of your engine, as the squish
    clearance is set on a 2 stroke by using different thickness base gaskets ;)

    alot of gasgets are impregnated wiht a bead of sealer... a small smear wont hurt, just make sure your not sticking grit inn there as you do it... perfectly clean and flat means you dont need any sealer atall, but a tiny smear wont hurt if your atall doubtfull...

    i join the barrel to the engine with a thick bead of the shit (all the way round) as its ugly, wont hurt anything but will help if the gasget fails prematurely...
