Can anyone tell me if the uprated PM style engine bushes cause a lot of extra vibrations?

I have read that that engine bushes are the cause of poor handing, but then others say the silent block that sits between the bushes if the cause. I get a lot of sideways flex in the swingarm but it all looks good from what I can see without the pivot bolt in. Both the outer bushes and the silent block seem intact. I notice that there are also uprated silent blocks available. So would fitting PM style engine bushes fix the problem?

couldnt say for sure, but generally the bushs are to blaim for engine movemtn side to side. the silent block should just be for dampening vibrations. i cant see if affecting the engines stability side to side.

use stock parts, anything else is too hard.. snapped engines and disgustingly tight/hard ride. check wheel bearings/tyre condition/inflation.... its not a superbike.. it wont ever handle like a superbike...

Really.. snapped engines? I've never heard of anyone having this kind of problem with uprated bushes. I just thought the may increase vibrations a bit.

everything ive seen are as good as solid... everything. no flex atall in any of them. if you didnt need flex in them there would be no bush/just a hole drilled in the engine... the bush should also twist with some springback... argument ive had for years... manufactors look at powerflex bushes in steering/suspention components and think the same can be applied to engine mounts.. you get solid ish engine mounts, but theres always some flex in there somewhere. solid bushes are only any good where you DONT want any flex (like car wishbones, anti roll bars and so on) fact is theres nothing wrong with the stock bushes, the engines nice an tight, if theres any flex it willl be worn cradle bushes (4 quid stock items are fine, change em regular and call it a day)
