Basically ive put a k&n + larger main jet in the bike, it ran fine when fitted but i took the k&n off as it was rubbing against the shock, when i put it back on the bike seemed to bog at higher revs, checked fuel lines etc nothing there plug says im running rich? thats weird as when the bike was getting less air from the k&n when i first fitted it it ran fine. The only other thing i can think of is raising the needle in the carb tommorow morn :msn1: Basically help me! :wtf:
i think that it is running to rich.. therefore it is getting too much of air/petrol and causing it to malfunction/bog down. :w00t:
raised the needle lowered the fucking needle & adjusted the mixture and the thing still keeps bogging :rtfm:
hard to adjust the mixture when some chinese dumb cunt has put it directly under the carb so you cant get at it when its running
it maybe worth a trip to a bike shop to see if they can see what's wrong! fresh eyes and all that. also is your carb fitted to the bike with a plastic pipe? you may have a hole or a split in it.
You mean the fuel line? Checked that, I'm doubting the plug now as its not had time to change colour, I'm thinking the bike is getting too much air and not enough petrol thats why its bogging due to fuel shortage. Going to try adjusting the mixture screw tommorow see if that helps :wtf:
wont even fuckin idle now :msn1: Keeps bogging and when you do ride it you have to full throttle it everywhere otherwise it bogs with anything under full throttle. no bike mechanics round here either
the bike will idle now, plug tip was pressed in arc: When you pull the revs back the bike just struggles as if it isnt getting fuel and judders. Choke seems to be working even though its always off as i never usually need it. had the carb appart about 6 times today the plug is still black so im at a total loss now on what the fuck is wrong with it :wtf:
