I was heading home from a nightshift and after coming out of the car park the back wheel felt fucked, poor grip felt like i was riding over something like a bottle cap or a stone but not bad enough to pull over as i live close to work so just aimed to get home qwuickly and assess what is wrong but immediately after i took a right turn i almost dropped the bike as the tyre deflated. I never heard a pop or anything so i dont understand what happened at all. I managed to get home at 10mph and looked like a spaz doing so. After getting home the tyre is badly worn after riding on it flat for a few mins but after reinflating it seems to be holding the air??? so what the fuck happened? tyres can just come off the rim?

    Vandalism?
I would seriously recommend you get a new tyre after riding it flat as you will have damaged it.
It may not show up around town but at speed on a hot day it may let go.

Not likely, i drove it to work the night before and suffered no issues and all night it was stored inside the building with me, then i pulled the bike out in the morning and drove off. maybe the tyre pressure was low and in a turn the tyre slipped??? and then then completely slipped off and deflated when i made that full right turn? Is that possible.

When did you last check the tyres?
If you have alloy wheels it has been known for corrosion to cause a leak where the tyre seals on the beads.

Could someone have let your tyre down? I would definitely check it properly now though, if you ride it flat 'just to get home' you can split the tyre walls easily. But yes, if the tyre is already low than going round a bend can open up a gap between rim and tyre and release more air. It's rare on cars as the wheels remain fairly flat unless its high speed, tight bend but on a bike you lean and use the edges of the tyre resulting in it being pushed across and away from the rim if its soft.

sounds more like a valve leak, these days tyres are tubeless only way they go flat is a hole or a valve seal gives way slowly, i would replace the rear tyre and also have a new valve fitted that should cure the problem fully. in the old days it was mainly a nail or something into the tube, but these days its a valve or a holed tyre that tends to cause a flatty
