Typhoons gone slower !!! help

MY typhoon went about 80mph and had a very fast take off, now it only does 60 max and take of is gone.

it takes long 2 get up 2 60 now
when i rev it doesnt move str8 away


any1 with ideas with wat is wrong ?!?!?

i havent changed any thing , apart from puttin back on the standar airbox.
that shoudnt make a massive difference lyk that ?!?!

 

was it rejetted?

 

It never did 80mph in the fist place, at least now its being honest with you

 

Well if you upjetted for an open air filter
and put back on the airbox without putting the smaller jet back then i would imagine it would

 

if it had an open air filter it has to be re jetted


other wise the mix is all fucked up and your engine runs badly


if i put my standard air box on my runner now it doesent even move on full throttle :nerd:


stick the other filter u had on and see of that makes a difference.

 

when i gt it had a air filter on so i dunno if it been jetted how do i check ?

the bike honestly went about 70- 75 thats how fast i've been on it
the owner b4 sed his been 85 on it

how do you know if the carb has been upjetted ?

 

well unless you know the standard size you cant really


but im assuming if it was runnning ok with an open air filter but running rubbish with the standard one its mostlikely up jetted to suit the filter.

 

stick filter back on it, and it will run as fast as you said, because youve mucked around with it it goes slower, so unless you are going to rejet for the standard airbox then stick with the filter mate
