Typhoon project

    right as you all probs no i got my self a nice totaly standard typhoon :cool: goin to stick a scorp on and then 172 it...what is needed to put the scorp on??? just sand down the black air cover?

    Right Ive fitted the Gilera Runner top speedo panel and the switch panel...

    All fits nice and personly i think it makes the top look abit more beefy...still duno if to get a small clear standard screen, or one of them small carbon ones.... still gota get me some kosos and then fit them :cool:

    Also Got A nice Spankers Scorpion exhaust :cool: Mint... but gota get my bike running sweet as before i even think about fitting that....gota make the throttle not stiff :msn1:

    You need to cut the fan cover like this.

    Like Jake said do not take it off.

    You also need to grind down a bit of the frame so it doesn't rub and space it out with a few nuts behind the exhaust mounts.

    They are a cunt to fit even when they clear everything.

    i wont take it of lol starkie chats shit half the time lol can i take it of to modifiy it?? then stick it back on... and what bit of the frame do i need to sand down :msn1: sounds like more hastle then its worth!!

    If you have a dremmel (which everyone should have) then it's a 5-10 min job. You don't have to do it but then you can rub your exhaust so much it splits.

    If you have a look test fitting the scorp you'll be able to see where you have to grind.

    :cool: because i look after my scorp... dont i ben :cool: clean it all the time.... fuckin infact i looked after my whole runner didnt i ben :D

    a 2" jack up kirt helps with clearancwe also shorten the left stud to 14mm (or use a short bolt to hold it in place..)

    update on my project...thinking of doing...
    runner top units... the front panel and the speedo panel...with a runner speedo...mod ther speedo with a back ground and bulbs... mod the casing to fit that typhoon clock in lol since the clocks on typhoons are SICK!
    few questions about it...
    i have the old style typhoon loom... so could i mod the loom to fit the runner switchs??
    and do nrg speedo cables fit gilera runner clocks?

    Right updated got my runner clocks ready to be modded into my typh loom...

    ever going to modify these runner clocks... eg. leds in the back and a new cover or get some second hand koso...

    also got my runner switchs panel with new style switchs loom :cool:

    going to attempt to fit both of them 2mo :cool:

    Also took my shitty Mikuni Carb off and fitted a deloroto 20.5m carb but the bike isnt working atm :msn1: so hofully get that working 2mo :cool:
    might be gettin a 25m carb and mabe a nrg front panel.... might spray it black and bright yellow... front black and the rear bright yellow...

    Does it go straight on?
    Now get a small 50 screen like the one in my Avater :pimp:

    yepo abit of moding was needed :cool: but goes straight on and the screw holes are in the same place, and deffo gettin a small screen :cool:
