just bought a spanking typhoon 125 bored it up to a 172 drove it home.
went to drive it today and when i stared it it was fine on tick over, but wen i went to give it more den quater throttle is stared making a loud squeaking noise?? i think it might be the belt when the clutch engages and spins the back wheel. but am not shure any ideas would be great.
    thanks

    its the vario.

need to litgly grease the cylinder type thing that goes through the midde of the variator i think.

everyone used to wc's ask's about this.. as said grease the insside of the variator between the copper/brass inserts(slight bit is fine) and the pins on the torque drive.. replace the belt if the squeek percists

also grease behind the oil pump drive gear as its a friction mount wich relys on softer material to smooth running, basicly saps power and wears quick. can also cause a squeek when cold

Doing the above made my noise go away.
However, it keeps coming back after a week or two :confused:cratch:
