    hi guys,

    I have a piaggio nrg mc2 2002 reg

could anyone tell me the standard disk size for:

    Piaggio typhoon
    piaggio nrg mc2

i only ask as i bought some forks and they are off the typh and everything fits as it should except the caliper wont fit with the disc that is on the mc2 wheel, what i need to know is does the typh have a smaller disc (think the mc2 is 190mm) or does it have a slightly different caliper?

    cheers guys

The reason a mc2 wheel fits is cos the disk is the same size as a typhoon. An nrg wheel with a 190mm disk isn't a mc2 wheel

Sorry i think i left bits of info out the wheel, caliper and disk are off the mc2 the forks are off a typhoon the wheel fits the forks but the caliper wont fit cos the disk seems too big

What im asking is does the typhoon have a smaller disk and the same caliper or does it have the same disk and bigger caliper ?

If its anything more than 3 its deffo the wrong wheel

If it was a mc2 one it would bolt straight on as they used the same calipers and disks as the typhoons used to

You've got the wrong wheel! Theres atleast 2 different front wheel setups used on the old shape NRGs

[IMG] this is the only picture i have of the scoot atm

What it is, is that the forks were knackered and the only ones i could fing were for a typh so i have put the forks on and the wheel fits the forks fine im just stuck trying to sort the caliper out :/

I think youd need to change the fork bottoms maybe if thats the case?

Just buy some nrg Mc3 fork's, the typhoon fork's/ wheel use a straight spindle, ally speedo drive. The Mc3 has a plastic drive, pinch bolt spindle.

Getting things sorted now made a new spindle in work today just need to check the diameter of the disk that is on the wheel wich if i am right will be a 220mm disk for the mc3 and if it is i have found a 190mm 5 bolt disc to replace it with and if all goes well it will be finally ready for mot next weekend woop and will work out a lot cheaper than another set of forks

    Wish me luck

Made the damn spindle about 25mm too long oops my bad will adjust that in work tomorrow morning and the good news is the disk is 220mm thanks to you guys pointing me in the right direction :) so just needs a 190mm disk slipping on and she will be sweet :)

    Happy days

No the caliper is the same fitment just needs the smaller 190mm disc instead of the 220 that i have on the wheel atm
