The front forks on my typhoon have no travel, I can put ally weight on the bike and bounce the front wheel of the floor and the forks will not compress. Am guessing this is seals, oilor springs. Maybe a combination. Haven't had them off yet as have a broken wrist.

Wandering what's the most common reason and if the forks are serviceable or recoended to get a new set.

Thanks for the response, it seems that everyone replaces there forks instead of reconditioning them. They actually pretty healthy so may just need regreasing, i guess if i'm going to change them its worth having a look anyway.

I have only ever fitted new bushes to typhoon fork's once years ago, never again will I do it, it's realy not worth the headache as there a crap design, I just fit new fork's to mine full stop.

I got about 5 ish years out of a set, you do need to drill a hole near the top of each leg and spray in some chain lube and oil of some kind to keep them good. It all way's leak's down the legs but keeps them from rusting, just wipe the oil off for mot.
