typhoon carb

    i have a typhoon 50 with a dellorto 17.5 carb but i changed the jets from 54 to 65 would that have any effect on the bike like would it make the spark plug black more quickly

    why you change the jet anyway??

    because i put a a polini air filter on it

    ok well you change the jet to get the mix right, thats the effect on the bike and yes it changes the colour of the plug

    no it will run lean, sounds a bit lean now anyway

    you to jet the bike properly for the air filter (no bogging)

    well today i put the air filter on with the 65 main jet and the bike was bogging out at full throttle now i put the normal air filter bac on the bike runs fine but just worrired that the spark plug might blacken qucik

    dw bout the sparkplug, your bike is most likely running rich now (too much fuel)

    ok then. but if i wanted to put my polini air filter back on what would i have to do for it to stop boggin out

    drop your roller weight by about 0.5gr - 1gr then start at bout 80 see how its running then possibly up or down jet accordingly
