Right im starting my first project scooter. I picked up a 1996 80cc typhoon from a work mate. So far ive striped it all down just in the process of cleaning parts upand seeing whats needed to get it all legal for the mot. One major thing i do need is a set of forks so ifanyones got any out there i would be intrested :D .

Im not sure which way to go with the project, Ive been told that the typhoon 80 will take a race 70 bore kit, but will it take a race crank for the 50 typhoon to match the bore kit ????? Or would i be better putting a race crank for a 50 in and just gettin my 80 cylinder polished and ported ?????

Ive also been told that other 50 typhoon parts like variators, carbs, manifolds, clutches e.g will bolt straight on can anyone confirm this???? One other thing will a 50 racing CDI fit staright on and is it worth getting one ????

Ill try get some pictures of the the bike up tomorow :D

never really heard of an 80cc moped. Seems a strange CC though because to be able to ride an 80cc I guess you must be 17 years old. And at 17, you can legally ride a 125. So the 80cc market cant be that popular surely?

I assume its for foreign countries where age/cc doesn't matter. Either way, I Will be keeping an eye on this project. Be sure to enlighten us with some photos.

Malaguti Firefox F15 LC RR was the 80cc one you're on about. Not many imported due to Provisional License Regulations in this country. Home market thing over in Italy you see...

    Typhoon 80 Tuning

    When I Had My 80 typhoon i put a 125cc carb
malossi carbon reeds a 80cc SEVEN exhaust For £49.99 these things really astounded me with there quality hebo filter and drop the roller weight to like 8.5gr it was very reliable and i was hitting 70mph!! u can go quicker if you remove the bottom piston ring and leave it running with the one top ring mhr style but reliability will suffer i wud stick with the stock 80cc piston and up rate what i said you will notice a diffrence trust me Good Luck ;)

    right...

firstly capitals look messy and annoy everyone who's reading it.

secondly i didnt chuck insults, i jokingly said its the dumbest thing ever, if i wanted to insult you i would have.

thirdly, as martin said, chill, your just making yourself look stupid so calm the fuck down and relax.
