im planning on putting a standard 80cc typhoon engine in my 03 stalker, i was wondering if my 50 stator would fit on it because it has to 6 pin clip thing and the 80 engine has the old wiring and would a 50 exhaust fit on it aswel? also i was wondering if the 80 engine would have higher gearing in the reduction over a 50?

not sure on the gearing but im sure the stator/flywheel is the same.. you DO however need to grind a peice of the case away to acomidate the wiring from the stator as they travel in a different path, you will see the difference if you have the two side by side.. will also be able to mark it wihtout as the stator fouls slightly.. soon see what i mean ;)

yeah you can put a 50 exhaust on an 80 engine.. i had a zx on my typh 80 conversion
and i the 80s have more top speed than a 50 so i think the gearing would be different

i wouldnt really know m8, i just put the zx on mine as it was the only 50 pipe i had lying about.. had to mod the mounting bracket a bit though.. but try them both and see how it goes

look, its a STOCK 780 not a 2 fast kit.. any pipe will run on there.. basicly the timings are the same as a 50/70 iron kit so it will just act like an iron kit on a ported case (little more puff at top revs)

again, the timings on these are so laps that any pipe will work.. its not a race engine. its nowhere close to a race engine. if i had to pick a pipe it would be for a sport's setup (so gianelli reverse/s3r) and have done wiht it

ive got the engine in and started now just one more problem
my back wheel doesnt fit lol from looking at it the 80 engine needs a skinnier wheel or just a dirrefent fitment on it, any1 have or know where i can get a wheel to fit a '96 typhoon 80 engine?

wheres the original wheel for the engine?

would sell you mine but 1, it would render my engine useless and 2, theres a fresh tyre on there.. i have a fucking stack of wheels and only one of these

does anyone know what the deal with the 80 crank is? like is it the same stroke and that of a 50 so that a normal 70 would work on the 80 engine? and would it be like having a reinforced crank to work well with a 70 bore seeing as 80 crank might be stronger then a 50?
