typhoon 70 problem

    first my set up ,

    band new malossi 70 sport
    second hand hebo crank
    malossi multivar variator
    7.2g rollers
    stage 6 belt
    white contra spring
    dellorto 17.5 (108 jet)
    malossi covered air filter
    fully de restricted leovince zx ( cut in half etc )



    ok so the problem is that when i ride the bike for a long time it just cuts out and stops , then after few moments will start again run not very well , when its fully cold it runs nice again .

    i was messing about at ace abit and then went uxbridge on a40 and it cut out started up then cut out again and wouldnt start so i started pushing it home after like 20 min i put the choke on and it started but was only going half throttle and would bog down if i give it more

    does any one have a clue what that could be ? i run premix btw 1:33, and could this be crank bearings or sized/overheated bore?

    Sounds like you are experiencing heat seizures , also poor set up , main jet is too big and rollers are too heavy in my opinion.

    but it was running perfect on 105 jet and then i went for premix so i got 108 in, i had mix of 4.6 and 7.2 rollers in and it wouldnt ride as good as now . i think its overheating aswell , how do i know if this was happening? will i be able to see it on the bore? or piston ?

    Did it run any different at all to when you had the 105?

    Check plug colour and the bore itself. The metal piston expands when it gets hot so it may have left marks on the bore. The top of the piston might look a bit different aswell but i cant remember how atm lol

    i havet ran it so much on 105 just like 10 min down and up the road then the plug was correct color light brown ish, and ill see whats happening with that bore when i get time.
    one more question will i be able to set the bike up if i put 50s bore back in it ? as it has that hebo crank and the pipe ?

    Yeah should be fine as a 50 if you set it up all ok (rollers etc)

    ok will probably do that then what rollers u think should i go for on a 50 bore?

    Sort of near stock but a bit light id have thought. Try maybe a low 6? You'll probs have to down jet as well a bit (10% or so I reckon but don't quote me on this lol)

    ok got the 50 bore in cleaned all the ports on it etc, put it on, got 95 jet in it and it now wount start :( it has god spark and that i put some petrol into the barrel but no luck ?

    and yh the 70s bore was fucked the piece of the piston broke off and probably flew out through exhaust as i checked the crank noting was there
