i thought only the registered owner of the vechile could apply for the logbook as i had this problem when i went to look at a bandit
no, you apply for the loggy, the DVLA contact the registered keeper, if they get no reply then they send you the log-book.
3 bikes basically you get a v62 form reapply for the logbook £25 there is no charge if you have a greenslip but then they write to the regd owner saying someone is applying for the logbook if he does not reply they will send you the logbook but i have the receipt and address and fone number of the person i got the bike off of

i had to apply for my documents aswell to tax my Dt but that was months ago!! had no reply and it cost me £25
yeah you do, i made the mistake of applying when my tax had 3 days left, took 6 weeks for the log-book to come back. no RD for 6 weeks last year.
