Finally blew my piston rings and fucked the piston so now converting to a 70cc , this is not going to be a massive or brilliant project, money restricts that but it will be happening soon. Just ordered the new 70cc kit. only using a motoforce 70cc kit due to the fact this needs to be a daily runner, ordering a new tt exhaust, new air filter and a complete respray of the panels. this is how the bike sits now, there will be updates on tuesday
will do mate, follow if you want ill follow back, think when i get paid this will end up to be a 172 project
just ordered malossi insert, today i got a bit ahead of myself started painting the inners to my typh, think im going to be having a red and white typh, whites already started
Good luck on the white mate!,i'd be terrified of riding any bike painted white - my hands get everywhere!,it'd be sporting a camoflage paint scheme in no time. .
its just white on the inners, getting some red paint on the 30th to do the main pans. ill post some pics up tomorrow, when i have fitted the new cylinder and piston
Liking the idea of the red mind you, last 'ped i had/red 28 yr old paint still looking smart (probally had 100k) miles on as well.
fitted the 70cc kit today, bike starts but now i have another issue!!! throttle cable is stuck open!!!
Take it's fitted properly . .,adjuster at throttle // mines screwrd 1/2 in +secured b locknut...yours similar?-not screwed in properly lip resting on lip instead of 1/2 in-locked down. I also have 2 slots in throttle to mount different length cables.you?
atm the issue is the throttle does not spring back on the handle bars and it doesnt even pull the little thing in the carb, honestly pissing me off i only replaced that cable last month now i have a feeling its broken again. well back to the shop who fitted my cable because i was to lazy, hopefully if complain enough they will sort it cheap enough i cant be bothered anymore and work gets in the way
yeah thats the only way to do things! ha can see im already spending my wages before i get them, not even had the chance to really test the 70 kit out!!!
Spare a thought for us poor people living in london!,wages on bike-more like bills/rrrrent. Much jealous. .
