wheels are the same type (nrg) not the same actual wheels.. it is really quite similar to that one, just a bit more pink than purple.. off to bed (to dream about sanding primer) ah well, all worth it
looks pink in that pic.. it was purple over silver flake (purple candy basicly) wiht a blue pearl... was nice man. was 4 odd years ago now. but ye.. had many blacvk/green typhs and hate blue/red
ok, well been a busy day... got 5 coats on everything and it was all going well... untill the last pannel. spluttery can (not mix'd right i doubt) went on heavy, reacted.. blah blah. it was a fresh can (first pannel painted wiht this can) so i can but hope i can flat it back and get away wiht the remainder of the other cans for the last pannel.. but oh well, chemicals can go wrong somtimes. some fresh pics, still wet, not flat/polished atall yet (there drying still obviously) was hoping to get them done tomorrow but will obviously have to leave flatting/sanding down on the last pannel till sunday. plenty else to do on it.. anyway, pics.. and the dirty reaction  just to see the stock piaggio quality paint... LOL
Looks mint shame about the reaction  i take it this is from years of apraying experience because it looks mint already leaving the inners standard i hope?
ye iners will be stock (maybe chemically cut back to bring the black shine back) black clock pannel (front) as the pink is too much alone.. more to come, dsanding like mad
looking nice that reactions a bitch wot you using the holts custom mix cans ha a simular problem to that on one of my dads bikes
yep yep.. its commmin out like silly string.. holtz cans are good if mix'd right and the 17 year old fatty in halfords i doubt had a clue.. 1 out of 3 cans actually spray'd semi ok.. will see if i can sort it today, if not its back to halfords to shout and scream at some idiots.. getting her on the painting tip today, her job is to paint the top pannel black, wonder how it will end up
ok, after lots and lots of sanding i managed to sort the pan (well, its heavy primed and drying) top pannel is done just need to sand/prime/paint the bellypan black to match the clock pannel.. polly got her ass in gear wiht some more polishing (pics to prove it was her) didnt do a bad job atall on the can cover and a GOOD clean and its just putting it together now. welkl, few little bits an bobs but nothing too major, aint gonna be finnished by iow by no means but it certianly will be better than mot standard todays work so far more tomorrow
Looking good so far mate. Bit worrying if she is sanding like that unless it's just there to look? :eh: :mod:
dont be a poof jeff its only a sander.... an yes ive always painted my own bikes.. terro knows this, i just charge what a sprayt shop would so its not cost effective.. this took me a week afterall (and to top it off the reacted pannel got repainted today, no metalic in the paint so it looks totally different!! PISSED OFF) but ye, off to shout at some incompetant staff and get a refund.. pans should be on tomorrow anyway (minus one) and there should be a vid of it going up the road
little update, did the top pannel yesterday (again, nothings wet sanded yet) and thought id share the paint fuckup (missing metalic and non matching colour) so painting that tonight for the 3rd time (thats 3rd top so will be around 35 coats of paint in a week, great) anyway might just have this nearly built today (minus the side pan obv)
