WHY? - Just put the engine in a gilly frame and sell the typh frame? Or find an a/c disk engine and put it in the typh ?

ok let me tell you this before you do this im not hateing on you and by all means do this project but read this first

ive built a ride a typhgilly for a good 6 mouths with a 125 frame vx ect ect and rode about 3 off my mates 50cc frames ones and i owned 3 ac typhoon 172 .

save that lc engine for a nice 125 gilera frame , trust me thers no gains to having a lc engine in a typh unless you going for high end port work all bolt on parts ect ect

typh with disc convertion and nrg forks with gilera front wheel its what you want

but the answer is use this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIAGGIO-TYPHO...mQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item4a99ab7239

and whatever you do dont have your rad and bottle like this ,do it like the white one useing nrg front panel and dragster rad and lc bottle

Not really bothered about people saying its a bogde because to tel you the truth in my opinion its not a bogde? the gilly engine fit straight into a typh frame witch i didnt relise. All i have to do is add a radiator if thats bogde then fair enought. But it will all be tidy. An to who ever said ive wrecked a perfectily good typh? what gives you that fought Got is as a frame with seat bucket, oil tank and petrol tank didnt even need to strip it, it was ready for the rebuild with the gilly lump in.

where you planing on mounting the rad if you don't mind us asking ?

iv never understood why people want to put gilly engines in every thing,

have a ac typh is simple as thats how the factory built them there's no stress no bodge no modding,

a gilly typh means you have to find some where to mount the cooling system on a bike that wasn't designed to have one,

have to run mix match rims (that look dumb, and dudes with scoots seem to be the only people that think it looks right)

as well as all the other shit you have to do.... for what?, what do you gain by doing it? its not unique as its been done and filed t death, it doesn't look good, it doesn't preform any better....

so there is no gain but plenty work/stress/bodge aka lose

sounds pretty pointless to me :confused:cratch:

are a/c engines more likely to overheat?
are a/c as fast as l/c?
i prefer the typhoons with vx forks and gilly wheels

Fitting a runner engine to a typhoon is no problem at all! as long as the typhoon started life as a 125, the runner and typhoon engine cases are the same, as are the engine mount. The typhoon pictured looks like a 50cc as the engine is mounted further back than usual, if it is it will ride horrible due to vibration from the engine. I'm all for l/c engines as they are faster as std than the a/c. This was my old typhoon with a 26hp PSN motor, i sold it to a good bloke about 18 months ago.
