typh bottom bearing

    ive got the top bearing off my forks but how do i get the bottom bearings of thats on the crown. ive try'd mole grips but still wont budge.

    the bearing race you mean?> (the big metal bit thats in the frame the bearing runs on?)
    if so slide a bar down the forks, angle it onto one of the edges at the bottom and hit it with a hammer, few taps and it should come out no prob

    sup minor , nah i mean on the forks @ bottom of the stem. ;)

    oh gotya, the bottom race on the forks is usually pressed into place.. if its in salvagable condition just give it a clean up and reuse it.. i tend to cut a slit in them, heat it up then pry it apart slightly... then hammer/press a new one in using a long tube. pain in the ass to do.. the forks are doing well if this is the case as these hardly ever outlive the stantions on the typh forks. they loose there grease after a year or so.
