in my area (west london) c.b.s whitton sell all the bits i need, i also have a typhoon 125, sounds to me like a wireing problem to be honest but im no pro. have you looked at the switch on the break leaver?? it could be sticking making the break light stay on? i would check both if it was me......
The brake light switches have a habit of working loose (they did on my Pug, until I fitted new ones). If they have not been pushed fully home into the levers, they will keep the brake light on. The lights coming on dim when the brake lever is pulled and the light switch is off hints at a bad earth or damaged wiring. Have you ever been behind an old Fiat, Ford or a trailer that turns into a mobile disco when the indicators are turned on, with lights going on and off and you don't have a clue which way they are about to turn? That's a problem similar to the one you've got. Check all of the wires that go to earth and clean the battery terminals.
