Hi there, i own a Derbi GP1 50 Open which not many people have it seems. i bought it 4 days ago from new done about 200 miles so far. After my first 625 mile service i wondered what i can do to make it faster whilst keeping it reliable. At the moment im restricted to 30 mph which sucks lol im hoping to get it to around 50 - 60 mph if anyone could help me. :good: Thanks :good:
Hehe, how fast u think i can get when its derestricted ?. And any other things i can do to help the speed ? Do exhausts really work that good ? and are they bad for ur ped ?
removing the restrictions will add 15-20 mph top speed and will improve your acceleration sports pipes are not bad for your bike if set up properly, a good pipe (which actually does something) will need lighter rollers, tighter clutch springs and around a 5% up jet.
Hello thanks for the replie I will be derestricting my ped next month As for exhausts i was looking at the Yasuni c13. Is this a good choice ? Also im guessing the exhaust will come with the right rollers needed. As for the clutch can u tighten the one already fitted or buy a new one ? And last of all after doing these upgrades will i need to upgrade any other bits so that the bike can cope with it?
"As for the clutch can u tighten the one already fitted or buy a new one ?" you can buy upgraded springs, from the sites in the links section, or buy a racing clutch which normally comes with a selection of springs. Personally I would just upgrade the springs with a set from Polini or Malossi.
Ok thank you, do these springs come in different sizes or ? just any clutch springs that are a good price made by malossi or polini ? thanks,
theres no such thing as a yasuni c13  The yasuni-Z would be a better option on a 50cc or sport 70cc set up
