My 2t 180 Runner is in 'dry dock' being rebuilt and painted. So I currently have the loan of a 4t 180. As a query - with the exception of a Malossi kit & pipe - are there any other tuning mods that can be done to a 4t machine. Or is the choice a little limited ?
can get cams/valve springs, big carbs, usual transmission mods but to be completly honest just leave it alone, there LOTS to tune and without head work dont really make good power for the dosh your spending.
unlimited cdi and pm pipe helped mine but only on top speed and that needs a daul carriage way at least to reach it?(sat nav 82 mph)? not advising this but i had a cheap nos kit(£30 EBAY) striaght into the air filter 6 sec blast made it scream always good for a giggle? just think of it as a harley cruising around in a armchair :w00t:
whats it like with the cdi and stuff shiny what speed did it reach on the clock and what does it do now imp:
the pipe is fit and forget sounds nice ,not to loud in a TAG test it was the only one that added bhp cdi went on at the same time so dont know which or a combination made the differance?was getting 75/77(sat nav) before now getting 82 (sat nav) had it faster on the motorway slight incline slight following wind but no sat nav so dunno?the cdi takes out the rev limiter so you do notice on the motorway on full whack? definatley recomend the exhaust monty ideal if your doing a lot of miles cdi is a lot of cash £110 for not alot of effect unless you are on full whack all the time then it does work
Just got back from Kelso. Couple of tastee 2t and 4t Runners entered in the Custom Show up there. Am f***ed, put it down to the ale and the concentration required trying to keep my scoot upright in the gale force wind we're having up here........ Why does the screen on my PC look extra bright today.......have just opened a tin of coke - tastes a bit funny, probably because there's no alcohol in it.... Will read your posts again when I have come to a bit. Shiny, I will also send you a Paypal payment for that silent block insert tool as well..... Catch you all later...........
