just thort id get some info to help a mate out who just brought a speedfight 2 air cooled and is looking for more speed.
basically there are two main things im unsure about:
    1) does anyone know what rollers come with the gianelli extra exhaust as iv given him sum 4.9s to try and ther still not right
    2) how does it being an air cooled engine affect its tuning potential, for example can he run a polini sport without it blowin up? what is needed to provide the extra cooling if needed?

Ok mate 1st of the rollers he needs are 6.7G they are like 3.25 on half price on Adrinelin.

He will need to upjet and if it has the gurtner carb it has a 50 MJ so work out 5% and upjet.

Get a 70 kit like a polini corsa they are like £80 on scooter attack and he will definitly need a bigger carb with that like a 19mm or if he dont have the funds he must upjet again to suit the kit.

peugeot engines can be proper cunts to setup sometimes, make sure the incorrect roller issue isnt actually a jetting issue, for example, if the bike is on the stand and you give it full beans, does it lag? or bog down at all, does it sound flat and not perky, its a speedfight so its not gonna blow you away with sheer power, but it should sound like it has at least 1bhp. if it doesnt, check the jetting, and enjoy fucking your hands up whipping the plug out every time, stupid vertical cylinders..

You cannot get 6.9's for them they have 5.1 6.0 6.7 and 7.0

The 6.7 ones are the leo vince ones that are made for there exhausts

They are perfect working i mixed original 8.0g and 5.1's 3 of each it avrages out 6.5 which is runing alirgt but i guess when i recieve the 6.7's it will run a little better.

I totaly agree with swift it was a cunt to take out the fucking carb just to rejet yesterday

yeah i found the speedfight uses heavier rollers than piggys etc...

    mine was an L.C model,

think it was about 9 ish grams std and 7 to 7.5 grams for sport 70 set up....which is really heavy in a piggy engine

    :nerd:

take your end can off and get rid of as much clogged up oil as possible

this is a real problem with speedfights. when i did mine i gained 10mph on the clocks for 5 minutes work

    My set up was:

Airsal 70cc kit..Kundo rapid pipe..over sized reed block..malossi variator..polini belt..stiffer clutch springs and lighter rollers.

Things to look out for on the pug engine is:

std type inlet manifold and reed assembly is very restrictive..

Rollers 16x13 are very small (wear out quickly) ;)

    yep very true...

but if your after an aftermarket variator theres a couple on the market that use the bigger 19x15.5 rollers :D

yeah the inlet port is kinda small as well :D

the whole inlet tract from the carb to the inlet port needs changing ;)

but all the gears available...bigger carbs...bigger manifolds...better designed reed blocks...that just leaves an hours work with the dremel opening the port out and bobs your uncle :D

or better still...buy a stage6 engine mount kit and bung a piggy in ;)
