my friend boguht a slider for £100. it needs alot of work it doesnt have fairings and a few other problems. it is rapid i can get about 55-60 out of it. also a friend has a gilera ice and that is the fastest standard 50cc ped ive seen. he can get over 60 easily on flat and it doesnt have any flat spots. jsut flys to 60+

need to know a little more about your rox before i can tell you definately, 1. does it rev fairly hard when it gets to 30mph, 2 does it just struggle to pull? how many miles has it done?

its done jsut over 10,000 kilometres so about 6000 miles id say. with pull of it goes for about 3 seconds slow then flys upto 30 which it will stay at :msn1: it doesnt seem to rev to high but im not sure

get crank seals, compression, rollers, variator checked. i think the variator restrictor is still in there, it's a spacer between the 2 halfs of the pulley (plastic i beleive) that stops them coming fully together.

well i took the bike to a mates uncles who works in a bike shop/garage. he took the kick start and all that bit off to get to the belt. then he took a few things out past the rollers and checked for a washer and it was already gone. :(

you don't need to go as far as rollers, but if it's gone then somthing else is restricting you, i have an area51 which is the same motor and that pulled 55 standard and tweak had an aerox which was simelar.

i can take the motor in and guarantee it will read 60mph on the speedo (assuming it works), however the cost depends on the engine condition. at 6000 miles the bottom end should be ok, but the piston and rings will be getting worn, if there are any deep marks in the barrel, it will need a complete top-end.

transmission wise, if its not had one, replace the belt and rollers and de-glaze the clutch.

check fro exhaust restriction (a second pipe that comes from the exhaust, about 6 inches long then stops) saw this off then weld up the hole, or replace the pipe with a "sports" pipe, also change main jet to suit derestriction.

see i really dont have a clue abotu scooters. it had a viper sports exhaust and that is all im aware of. how can i find out how to learn about all of this. i wouldl ove to be great at fixing up a bike and other mechanics. i need to find someone who can fix it up for me for a price of course.

start off with somthing cheap that dosnt matter, learn what altering things does to the engine (i started on a suffolk colt lawnmower). you soon pickup how it works and what makes it faster

then apply the knowledge to other mechanical objects.

    wherabouts do you live?
