Hello , i have a benelli 49x and really having problems with transmition i mean the bike really goes slow when starting from 0-5km then accelarates a bit faster and when it comes to top speed after 50km's it straggles and it goes till 70km..the bike used to go up to 80km i upgraded my stock kit to a malossi 70..but everything was installed fine..and when it comes to transmition well thats where everything is fucked up..any help??
yeah. if you have upgraded to a malossi 70cc kit which produces MORE POWER, you need lighter rollers, diferent clutch springs, different contra spring etc etc. oh and the jetting is probably out as well so get that sorted first before you mess with the transmission. And finally, only change ONE thing at a time. you know where to go then if it goes tits up. i suggest you use the search function and have a read before minors cuts your head off with a rusty breadknife lol.
The poor acceleration at start is heavy rollers and the poor midrange - topspeed performance is normally down to jetting. You cant just bang a 70kit on and go, they need setting up! Should see 90-100km/ph when setup correctly.
