Well as my bikes ready to roll over to 25000km I was interested to see what everyone else's scoot has clocked up.

    Italjet dragster 1999 50cc 24900km

The apparent mileage on my TKR is something like 36,000km  but it won't feel like that once I've finished with it.

Still don't get kilometres, yet my ride's in k's (+sub mph)....have to double look to get the 'real' speed, dumb design fault I reckon,as should keep it to one reading.;).

its just something for me to run around on when I don't want to take the car out and will still be a runaround when I don't really need to get the triumph out. £280, 12 months tax and test, full dealer history (seriously), 2 brand new tyres, new brake cables and brake shoes, new gearbox oil and air filter. runs like a dream. not the fastest of machines but as of yet ive not had to take it above 25mph because im always filtering through traffic - only got it this morning.

It was the Yamaha Jogs and Suzuki Roadie 50's that really kicked off the peds that could pull away quickly off the mark.Remember them fondly from Bike shop days when working for a Tomos/ Puch /CZ dealer as first job when leaving School in 89.

its a good little scooter. I was thinking that it would be slow and gutless but tbh its got a fair bit of acceleration, just not top end. piece of piss to filter with it, I filled it up this morning, £4.65 exactly to brim the tank. done 60 miles, barely used any fuel. insurance is stupid cheap at £165.46 for 1 year fully comp. its so cheap to run its unbelievable. can see myself putting a fair few more miles on it.

now off out again on it to go and fetch some parts for my brothers italjet.

The Yamaha V80 that I had for two years had 26,000 miles put on it and it still ran sweetly. It's more about how a bike is cared for than the mileage it's covered. You only have to go on a certain auction site to see cheap, low mileage bikes that have had little or no maintenance being sold as 'Spares or Repair'.

The Good old Townmate from Yammy, and yep it it is amazing how people consider just because a bike is of an age especially the small run around bikes then they must be worn out spares or repairs only.Amazing what little TLC will put them back on the road and serve for many more years :)

that's why I got myself into a career where there will literally always be work. cars will always need fixing and the owners will never really have a clue.

4 years at college/day release/work placements doing City & Guilds 200 + 205. Mechanical/Electrical engineering and Toolmaking. 4 years hard work and had to come out of it on a full time basis because of the dreaded dermatitis. But only on one hand! If I had stayed one more year would have had letters after my name.
P.R.A.T is the one that i was going for:p.................before you lot chip in!!!!!
