Well i put it back together it works well now Put a new belt in it and the scooter will be going tomorrow
Ok its holding engine breaking for ages now so i am assuming that means i need a softer spring , would that be correct Maybe i should wait for my pipe to turn up as its going to change things anyway
id stick the stock spring in for now and wait for the pipe to set it up.. many times ive had to mod springs to get an imbetween torque pressure. is the torque driver returning of its own accord now tho?
Yeah its coming back fine now it stays in till about 10mph ,im guessing when i put the springs in for the clutch that i have coming it will drop out sooner The transmission seems to vibrate abit when i roll off the throttle
ye too stiff... its the clutch turning the engine more than it wants to hence you get the constant snag on the belt when it passes tdc.. at high rpm this createsd vibration
OK awesome thanks It has a yellow in it now , i dont have a stock one , would you suggest trying to get s tock one or a white one When i get the lazer if the fucking thing ever turns up would you think it would want to go back to the yellow I understand how the cvt works but i am not sure of the finer points so i am reading what your saying with great interest the issue if i go to light is belt slip correct ?? Do you think a lighter one will help it acelerate faster , i am asuming it going to change up quicker with a lighter one so therefore i may have to change the roller weights as well
belt slip results when the power outweighs the torque of the spring.. doubt it will be that bad tho. belt slip is usually down to too thin a belt. rolelr weight isnt effected by this as the same ammount of power pushes the rollers out, theres more resistance with a stiffer spring but this just holds the revs a little more for the gearing so it wont @search@ for an rpm as much so should be prittymuch spot on whatever spring you use.. there is always a gain hiding in ther transmission be it a washer or 0.01g on a roller...
Thanks i am going to by a white spring and give it a go Its not like they are expensive and it will be good to see if it fixes the issue I do a lot of hill climbing in this scooter and i was worried about it not changing down soon enough , but maybe the yellow is just to much
Have you given that Antifriction fr the contra spring a try and if so does it have a good effect , or is it just a wank
Well its now slipping the belt Not sure if its not tight enough but its worn out already The thing is pulling power stands off the line now so its going to be hard on belts i guess
check allighnment of the front pulley... probably bending the belt slightly. you probably need to respace behind the variator and front pulley.. belt should be completly straight accross the 2 pulleys
