Safe. I changed from a polini variator to a standard one, (which i had no problems with before i rebuilt my engine with new rings and a top racing crank) tried a light set of rollers, medium and very heavy, and they all do the same thing. Takes off fine up to 35, then it just revs unbelievably and stops accelerating at 42. With the polini one in it did nearly 60, as it used to with the standard. I cannot change back to the polini because my friend has it, but anyway i just wanna know whats up! Cheers, Tom
