Fitting a top box to son's scoot this afternoon, he can't get his lid in the under-set toilet and he'll need the box for College when he starts in September.

So opinions - a must have accessory or wouldn't be seen dead with it on your bike?

id happily have one, wouldnt have one of those tiny pointless ones though, a nice 38l or 42 litre, on some scoots theyre just not right but if you need it then have it

I would sooner smear honey on my testicles and tie myself to an ant hill than put one of those things on my scoot. But I can appreciate the utility of such a device........

I have mine on a snatch plate so not on all the time, it doe's come in very handy for carrying kit and bits of scooter round!

They are really practical but they just look so bad and affect the handling quite badly sometimes.

Ever ridden an older Pan European with a top box fitted?
It makes the front wheel wobble at high speeds, i.e motorway driving doing 85, scary as hell.
However, at lot of scooters these days dont have the room for helmet storage even though they say it does. I think the chinese have smaller heads than us, so unless you want to carry your lid around with you, get one fitted. And if you are only using it for commuting or college then who really cares.
You can always 'bling' it i suppose.

I have been at college for a total of 5 years and have always riden my bike to get there... Never had a top box on any of my bikes but as far as scooters and most 125 bikes I dnt think a top box takes the look away even more so with a scooter.... My big bikes on the other hand lol I can garentee I won't be fitting a top box to my FZR haha
