Tis all true Ciaran, you came to me a young apprentice a year ago, and now look at you your like a "Gilera Ballerina" lol. i'm picking up a standard 125 typhoon within the week, so no weight on the front and no worries with throttle to worry about = wheelie circles soon yey
get some vids on the vespa..they look even better with the front up lol theres a mint one on you tube a px125 in england
im saving up for a new scoot so you never know i may be alongside you lot :w00t: power wheelies ftw or ftpwcwp (for people who cant wheelie properly) like me imp:
erm, zest aint all that.. try lookin up paul ramsden, ricky (ride it like i stole it) or mabey going onto any london estate an givin a random 15 year old your bike.. will impress you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6WIVL6Sgq0 flat out aint keepin up with paul wheelying. look around an you will wind lots form these boys an they are riders not stunters. tha majority of people who wouldent clal themselves stunters round here can literally wheely a stock 50 as you walk down the road next to you. stunting by principle is a bit retarded really.. you take a good thing like a wheely then do all this silly lookin "technical" shit and make it sommin its not. just do wheelys well, forget the silly legs all over the place stuff. stoppie 180/circle or a well controled 50+mph coaster. all good fun but too many people get the notion its sommin amazing so they can brand themselves a certian thing stunting by definition is a bit sad, everyone who rides loves a wheely, so your riders not stunters doing stunts an so in is half the point of having a bike. wheelying while jumping over the bike like a confused monkey just looks silly. this is the problem with "stunters" as it only impresses like minded people.
Minor, please don't take this as a nasty reply, it's not, as i know everyone is entitled to their opinions, but compare stunting to blinging chrome Harleys. Even if they are not your cup of tea, you have to appreciate them and give some of the owners credit for what they have made. Quite like stunting, although you are very true the world and his wife do call themselves "stunters", and sometimes watching an ordinary guy doing a wheelie is cool, stunting to alot of people (more so to alot of people i know) is a hobby and in most cases a way of life. I don't do drugs, i very rarely drink and the way i get me buzz is stunting (although i am the first to admit i am not a professional). Anyway i appreciate your views, but on the flip side you got to appreciate the control and skill involved in some of the tricks people do! Here are a couple of vids from my mates! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_LKpd4Zx18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9RnKtLG ... re=related
my opinion on the whole "stunter" issue is that "stunters" on scooters are just people that hang around with people on big bikes and do wheelies but they do them in a different way to seperate themselves from people who just wheelie normally, probably gives them the feeling of being important and above other people, at the end of the day, a wheelie is a wheelie, regardless of whether your foot is in your mouth or your arse. giving yourself the name "stunter" just makes you look like you're trying to hard to make yourself known. as banksy said: "The time of getting fame for your name on its own is over. Artwork that is only about wanting to be famous will never make you famous. Any fame is a by-product of making something that means something. You don't go to a restaurant and order a meal because you want to have a shit." same applies for "stunters", why label yourselves something else? segregate away from a group of enthusiasts just like you, just without the "stunter" in their name/video/signature.
