its amazing how much scotland looks like norway, the resemblance is uncanny... heres some pics i took a few days ago around the island i live on: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.753277411472378.1073741832.184532888346836&type=3 we are finally getting thawed out here, been some hard frost for a few weeks now
That's a bonnie wee bike - the scenery though is not on a par with Scotland - only joking - Norway looks braw - thought you were meant to sell those wee import bikes
im going to be selling them, thats just the first model, its a sort of tester bike, before i do a bulk order there needs to be changes, im not happy with the finish on it, the chrome isnt great, the heat paint on the cylinder is already coming off and the bolts have a bad finish too, it needs to be more durable for norway
Does anybody make 'more durable' scooters/small motorbikes these days? From everything I've come across in the last few years, the days of making something to last have gone.
mine will be, its gonna have electroplated heatproof paint, coloured zink bolts and alloy motor, the supplier is working with me, no other bike company will do this kind of research/development. ive been riding it all over the place, in all sorts of crap. salt, snow, mud, doing speedbumps at waaay too high speeds, i want a good product to sell, not this shite that all the other companies are putting out....
there is a guy in the uk selling the same bikes as me, only his will probably be rusty junk in a few year as he hasnt gone through the effort i have. its shocking how bad the salt is here though...
Don't need loads of salt to eat through crappy chrome. A lot of the pipes I fit start to get rust spots within weeks these days, that's why I don't fit any chromed pipes now. It causes people to think I've fitted cheap parts, when in reality it's the finish that's crap. Just plain jane stuff that can be heat painted over to look decent again. I was looking at the caliper bolts on the GTR the other day when I did the brakes, and those are starting to show white crap, so I may well change them for anodised ones shortly.
Lots of owners never clean there bikes - it's no wonder they corrode - do you coppaslip every bolt when you remove them - the manufacturers are guilty of not greasing pivotal parts on new bikes - why should we have to pdi our shiny new bikes ?
you would be surprised at how little some manufactures do on new bikes. the QC on some is terrible, ive seen derbis with no oil, loose engine mount bolts, rusty parts, broken wiring looms. oh the list goes on. on mine the stem nut was loose, that was the biggest problem i came across, the rest was just bad finishes on paint and whatnot, but i informed the manufacturer and he will revise the issues and make some changes to my next trial bike, i could bet serious money that honda/yamaha/derbi etc etc didnt do any of this sort of research (mainly because ive seen how shoddy the finish quality is on them!)
