Hey all, I have a Sym Symphony SR 125 scooter. Had it six years from new and recently noticed an odd sound when freewheeling on turns or slowing at junctions. The best way to describe it is a bit like tin pots rattling in a backpack. I think it's coming from the front of the engine, probably where the piston heads are. It normally happens after about 5 mins of riding. Any ideas?
Could be transmission rollers in the variator, they wear out and become baggy. Without hearing the noise it's hard to say.
