Throttle needle position

Hi all,

Does anyone know what effect moving the throttle needle has on the performance. Mine's on the top notch (needle sitting lower) and I wondered what will happen if I lift the needle up onto the next notch?

 

It will make the mixture richer across the range.

 

I've tried it but didn't really notice a difference but makes sense what you say. She's not happy at all. Might try different jets instead. She's got a 72 at the moment. Might get bigger and smaller and see which she prefers.
