Throttle cable stuck on stand? NRG Power

Hi,

When I start up my NRG on the stand, it revs like its a full throttle. But when I start it off the stand, it behaves like normal and ticks over at idle speed.

Has this happened to anyone before? If so, how to I fix it?

sounds like when the bikes on the stand the throttle cable is being pulled due to the bars maybe being turned to the side or something..?
and when your taking it off the stand your straightening them up so its not pulling the cable anymore therefore behaving normally.

 

I tried with the bars straight and the bars turned, it still does the same thing. This is puzzling!

Check that nothing is snagging on the throttle cable, to me it sounds like your center stand is snagging it. Or that its broken before and someone has re-routed it incorrectly.

 

I'm not sure how it could snag on the stand, but I'll have a look.

And I don;t think its broken before as I bought the bike brand new.
