Not sure How many of you follow football, I myself am a rugby man but there was something about today thats got me talking..

For those of you that know how it is Between Newcastle United FC & Sunderland AFC, rivalry has gone on for years and as every geordie will tell you NUFC is obviously the better team :p but today we were beat 3 nil, fair enough we were robbed of a goal but its the antics afterwards.

    Hooliganism..

So The City all Newcastle supporters love was terrorized and smashed up today, by Newcastle fans as well..

Sunderland fans were not at all innocent but what is the need for smashing your own city up over a game of football, and people wonder why we have a bad reputation!

Plastic fans is what I call them! but what I've seen on the news missiles thrown at policemen and police dog/mounted units.

Its this type of behavior that contributed to The disastrous Hillsborough disaster and such! just no need for it! Today I am ashamed to be a Geordie

    story here; http://tyneandwear.sky.com/news/art...by-newcastle-united-fans-in-city-centre-after

All that over a game of football though!

Never! be ashamed of who you are - other 'peeps "weaknesses" can make you stronger as you can see in them what your not,
It's a f.....g tradegy violence in sports as one small contigent can mar it for the rest (think the roman/empire knew how to deal
    with that!).
Not into football myself as grew up o/seas,loving the rugby mind/loosely via wigan.

I'm not to arsed about the football like, fair enough we got beat! but the fact you get Newcastle fans Destroying Newcastle city centre smahsing shops up throwing stuff at police is a disgrace like I try not to be ashamed haha, but at the end of the day everyones tarred with the same brush!

I do love rugby! Play it myself! there is always scraps in rugby! they are un avoidable but every scrap I've had playing rugby has been on the pitch, But I've shook the blokes hand at the end of the game and had a pint with him! thats what its all about!

Football I think Is a Gentlemans game played by Twats (pro level) and rugby a twats game played by gentleman!

I don't see the point at all, all that were caught have been put on pub watch and barred from both st james and the stadium of light also the city centre! wish they had caught more of the thugs!

Love a good game of rugby! we have a few "experienced at life lads" who get a run out on a saturday! oldest is 67 plays prop and is made of stone!

Just back onto the derby I've just read an interesting article, One man who was arrested for punching a police horse and kicking off, claims disability allowance and incapacity benefit for a lung condition, said he'd been threatened by animal rights activists and had been afraid to go out since the incident.

If the lung condition and disability is that bad why is he going wild at a football match? I really think the government need to re check who gets what benefit!

mate anyone who punches a horse in the head is a w-.nker ,
Karma's a good thing though , as now he has been exposed as a benefit thief
and will get punished for the money he stole and forced to work like the rest of us ,
i'm a proper lefty and feel strongly about benefits being taken away from people who need them the most ,because of people like him

Anyway man utd going to smash west ham tonight and go within 4 points of another title
    come on :) .

I think benefits should go to those who need them! families that need them people with a disability who need then but if someone who can punch a horse get mortal drunk and kick off in riots is claiming Disability and other benefits there is something wrong!

I mean I'm not one to judge, benefits are there obviously for people who need them but the people who twist the system piss me right off! The Dole wallers of north shields who spend there dole in the pub on booze and drugs! I mean there not entirely to blame, The system is partly to blame because there is no incentive to work!

The job I just left I would have got more on the dole a week doing nothing! but I'd of rather earned an honest wage!
