ok a misleading title, its actually a front wheel drive peugeot diesel...
    it was free..
i got it from my mother in law, it failed the EU control (MOT) on a few things and they wanted more than the car was worth to fix it.
the list was as follows (from memory)
    brake pads front
    brake disks front
    CV boot leftside
    front springs broken (both sides)
    front shock upper mounts
    left steering ball joint
    brake pipe/line back
    diagnostic work
    front tyre.
all this plus labour charges came up to around 3 grand. they wanted over 100 to plug in OBD.
so I got hold of it and after chanrging the battery, plugged in the OBD. there was a turbo fault, the turbo had been chaned, but it was still just as dead. 5 seconds with the obd and i solve the problem, open circuit fault on the wastegate valve. £5 for some new connecters and its sorted...
i got nearly all the parts now except the tyre, but its winter tyre time anyway, so that gives me 6 months... WP_20161027_14_51_38_Pro.jpg WP_20161027_14_51_46_Pro.jpg

    So update:
Abs/esp was after a long diagnostic, an old rusty bolt wedged under a wheel sensor.
I changed all the tie rod parts (inner and outer)
And set the toe to exactly 0mm ( which i roughly set by eye, then when measured it was perfect!)
Im hoping to ring and get it controlled monday, health permitting.
Oh and i ordered the ergo bike thing from the above post....

I didn't update this, but we drove to the UK.
    From Norway
With a 1 year old baby.
    Who uses cloth nappies.
Oh and the Saturday night before we left (ferry was Monday) I changed my front wheel bearing. In the process I broke the rear window.
Then sunday evening I nearly chopped my toe off, after spending 4 hours in the workshop wrestling with the wheel bearing.
But before I nearly chopped my toe off I got in a massive argument with a guy at esso saying that "disabled people shouldn't drive" what a cunt.
If I see him walking and im in the volvo he will get crushed.
    Yeah.
    That was a mad weekend.
Oh And we needed an emergency passport for my son...
