bike has started playing up. i tried starting it But it cut out almost immediately. it's like the petrol has water in it. it backfired a couple of times yesterday when i was giving it throttle to try and help it along. i have noticed for the past week that the performance has been down. the rollers are a little worn. but it still revs nicely it kind of feels like the brakes are dragging but they're not. after draining the carb a lot. i managed to get it going. it done the same thing last night and cut out

pretty sure now its a ht problem
the plug was quite wet and black but that's because it was running rich for a while.
i changed the plug and no luck really. and tried taking the cap off and it slid off with ilittle effort. isidee the cap (not the part that attaches to the plug) was caked with bluey mouldey stuff so i cleaned it all out and re assembled it nicely. i rode for about 10 miles and found it too rich so i took the snorkel out the airbox. and it was running perfectly. but now it seems to do the same as before.

99 percent sure it's not a fuel or air problem now. it also has plenty of compression in kickstart. it's still giving me grief. gonna buy a new ht cap and SP tomo. should i change my ht lead? hasnt been changed in over 20,000 miles i know that
