thermostat fallen out

the thing were the black line is pointing to hass fallen out and is rattling around inside the head ...but one of the allen key bolts to open the head has seized and is just breaking allen keys ...there is still water flowing and is not overheating as i have the tempeture reading ..the bike is running normal


it could of been like that for months but i noticed it when i wacked the head off and changed the ring

 

img dont work but it is where the radiotor pipe goes to the head

 

why dont you just open the cylinder head and get that little piece out??? if you can reach it... opening the cases will be a pain in the ass

 

i tryed but the bolt was so tight it was rounding allen key bolts...in the end i had to heat it up slightly and it came out

 

oh i hate it when that happens lol you should get some new bolts so it can be tightened as it should did u actually get that little piece out???

 

yea ..it had just twisted somehow and fell out got it back in now

 

ur lucky it didnt fuck up your barrel and piston...

 

it was in my water jacket in cunt of gone any were...its the bit that holds the water until the preassure builds up and then opens ....

 

do you rekon thats why my headgasket blew

 

nah dont think so... a little piece causing that problem?? maybe u didnt tighten the bolts as you should??

 

yep tightened bit by bit in a cris cross pattern..

 

hmmm dunno then...
