Just got one of those petrol engined strimmer's cum brush cutter's,had'nt had this much fun in ages..... Garden looks like terminators waltzed through, neighbours looking like building a six foot wall between the properties - don't think they liked the crazed cackling look on my face..
I'm gonna miss that bike. The new owner had only owned an MT07 before, he seems happy with it. Looking forward to getting the tgb on Saturday
Remember the tiddler I rode, never crashed a ped so much - an it got right back up again and limped off.........fond memories.
Remember to check your settings when job hunting..... Just applied for well paying forklift job & got an interview date. - It's in bleeding Nova Scotia!!!!! Poor Vision's gonna be KNACKERED..
While I’m living with family and waiting for our property to complete. I had some spare cash and got my son his first car.. enjoy....
Job did'nt pan out - kinda instinctively figured out the Manager was a closet a**ehole.,Monday's going to be a crunch time day.!!! - agency I don't know, reputable one I do or Eddie Stobart's.
Driving it home. That's the short way across the country. If you head up the country it takes 3 days or more
It's because of the terrain they are normally used in. Designed primarily as an off-road utility vehicle for use in the rougher high countries, the bumpy terrain causes the rider to grip the standard twist throttle too hard and constantly over rev and grab at the throttle, causing accidents and injuries relating to unwanted engine speed at the wrong time. In other words, a twist throttle causes you to get high sided on rough terrain on a quad. With a thumb throttle, your thumb slips off it easily at speed on rough surfaces, theoretically maintaining some control over the engine speed. I have done a couple of throttle conversions on the road going quads here, makes it a bit scary though, very short twist before it's going full bore. I suggested to scootmadness a while back after his accident to retro fit one to his bike back then, dunno if he did or not.
Done fork seals on a VT1100 Shadow yesterday, american import jobbie. Someone had used gearbox oil instead of fork oil...... Went to take it for a little spin, front end felt like it wanted to fall into every corner. Advised the owner to tighten up the front end....
I've seen a company in Germany doing a split throttle thing. Best of both. I'm friends with him on Facebook I should ask him.
Should have the Diablo up and running in the next couple of hours; the one with zero compression due to the piston detonating. Then it's on to the Goldwing to do those fork seals. Going to do the guides and bushes as well while i'm in there, may as well. Two in for MOT tomorrow.......
No, that wouldn't work. Maybe a single cable from each to a twin split halfway down, like using the oil pump cable on a 2 stroke as a secondary throttle cable.
