It's got one of those starter motors type things without the rest of the engine....
Joking aside, it's fairly cool. The motor is in the hub, it's got regenerative braking too.
The limiter sucks. No way round it either.

Bought these two over the weekend, picked them up today. Italjet Torpedo 50 and Jonway Madness 125. Got the torpedo for £42 and the jonway for £96.

    IMG_20190409_203248.jpg

Torpedo has no compression, whipped the barrel off, took a look and thought, that looks familiar......I just happen to have an Airsal 70 kit sitting on the shelf, with gaskets.
    What a bonus!!!

Morini by the look of it.
The Airsal kit was bought for that black and gold Katana I did some time ago but ended up changing the engine completely instead.

Well the H1 was booked out all day. The w800 was nice. Torque was impressive. Power was lacking. Then I tried the vulcan which surprised me. Didn't think it would wheelie.. But it did. Just.
Shame I didn't get more time really

The vulcanS was a Very fun bike.
Power is sort of like a 2 stroke, comes in at the top end, lovely low down torque from the twin

Not getting much done lately with looking after dad. Getting up early, do a bit in the garage, go sort him out, work late in the garage.
Managed to get the italjet engine back in the frame, sorted the bad earth to the engine, now it turns over and I have a good spark.
So, I have good compression and a good spark now, just need to add a clean carb and some fresh fuel and should be away.

Front caliper is shot on the Torpedo:mad:, my fault, I stripped the thread on the bleed nipple!!!!
And it appears the pistons are sticking on the seals stopping them coming out AT ALL, right pain in the proverbial:(
However, I'm pretty sure the Suzuki AY50 Katana, Morini motored, has the same caliper. Off to my mates breaker yard later to mooch through the spares, after I take the Goldwing for MOT.

Another one of those days where I seem to have been busy as hell but achieved very little, however the Torpedo is running very nicely at last, and quiet to boot.:)
