Off to stavanger today for a neurological appointment. On the ferry now. 3 hours each way. Its a long journey. Hopefully they give me answers. Ive been losing the use of my hands for about 3 years or so now
Put the Berlingo to the real test yesterday, took the seats and the dog guard out. aired up the tyres and did a 550 mile round trip to deliver a load of donated cat food dog food etc to various animal rescues and considering how much weight it had in compared to normal it did well only used half a tank of fuel sat at 70mph on the motorway I got around to fitting the LED light bar beacon thing work have been hassling me about fitting and using when on sites. Ive just got the Hideaway strobe kit to fit now. Also stripped the Kymco a little more and got the engine mount off cant really do much more until I have the engine and wiring loom from the 300. wiring has got me a bit worried at the moment but Im thinking it might make things easier to use the whole loom from the 300 and just adapt the wiring to the agility city 125 lights
Packed the Kymco stuff into boxes.. Were moving in January and im not going to have time to do anything major until then because its now silly season at work
Finished the port matching and case work on the tomos. Exhaust port needs a little work. Then its time to get the swingarm fixed.... Need a lot of heat I think....
Black friday is bullshit huh?! Anyway. Beer tonight. Rock the 40oz... Should break ground on the new workshop monday.
Hopefully getting delivery of a digger from a friend today. Let's hope the temperature doesn't drop more, its minus 2 in the shade... any more and the ground is too hard..
Hilevel order turned up today. Shame that the boxes of degreaser are ALL dented. Can probably sell them off cheap though.
Spent the last 3 days working on the sofa on wheels, running wiring for the front driving lights, satnav, DAB radio and aerial and power sockets. Found a lot of sins with the wiring to the rear speakers, previous owner(s) had used those fork type crimp connectors, cut one prong off and stuffed it into the plug socket with insulation tape. Removed the rear speakers to find a load of cable wrapped up nicely behind them???? Removed all of the old cabling, replaced everything, all new connector plugs and pins. Surprising how different speakers sound when you get the polarity the right way round....... Going to try a little experiment today with the front driving lights. I have a set of magnifying headlights off my old Katana 50 scooter, they look about the right size for the lower cowl housing...............
bought a second kymco GT300i on an online auction because it makes sense to have two donor bikes right? just one issue.. I have to collect it from aberdeen
Well that worked out nicely. These are the Katana 50 headlights I used: They were a bit long but I was able to cut them down and re-seal the pods before fitting them into the lower cowl. Then a simple case of wiring to a switch and picking up suitable earth point. Et voila: Up cycling maybe?
