i have just found out about this thiong called the squish and i think i have to do it to set my bore up right. what do i have to do????
it will say what squish to run on the instructions that come with the evo2 , i would say around 0.70-0.80 mm for fast road use , although even that might be to low for that crank , btw the evo in the name of the crank has nothing to do with the evo2 bore kit ( if you where thinking they go together because of the name , if not dont worry about it )
at the moment i have the normal gasket in that was in the whole gasket set but i havnt used any of the others but it seems fine how will know if its not
agree with pro race dragster there, 0.7mm should be fine, usually below 1mm is ok for road use, dont go below 0.6mm though.
yeah space it up or down with thicker/thinner base gaskets, use 0.8mm gauge solder wire to measure your clearance.
fit the bore without head gaskets, place some 0.8 or 1mm solder wire between the piston and head ans turn to top dead centre, should just start to crush the 1mm wire.
