Was just told by PSN on ebay that the scorp is more powerful than the malossi and its apparently 'rubbish' 'mhr exhaust is rubbish scorpion gives more power' I dont know because i havent seen figures so im just wondering if its true?
dont listen to a word psn say.. the only guy that actually had a clue there was ryan saxelby (who was actually subbied, not an official employee) andy knows naff all about tunning. just wants to sell whatever he has. scoprps arnt used on euro track bikes, malossi's are.
lol emailed martin at chiselspeed too and here his reply: Hello Matthew,as far as i am concerned Andy is correct about the Malossi pipe not being as good as other things available on the Market.We make our own pipe(£180) which is comparable with the 2 pipes from PM tuning,these 3 are the best in my opinion with scorpion coming in behind them followed by the JL pipe,with the Malossi definitely coming in behind these along with the Polini pipe. baaaahahahahahahaha makes me laugh.. get a scorp on a dyno, then put a malossi pipe on there.. chisselspeed's own pipe is NOTY compairable to the pm.. it IS on par wiht the scorp as there desighned by the same people.. andy pearson is NOT a tunner, he pays people to tune... he is a parts shop. same parts shop that try'd to tell the world the best 50 pipe is a gianelli extra. says it all me thinks? as for chisselspeed... ive had plenty of there work infront of me, for correction, untidy and below par, by this alone ima ignore everything they have to say about tunning. has anyone TRY'D a malossi pipe on a bike they havbe also try'd a 55/59 on? i fuckinwell have and ive seen the results.. hence i can wax lyrical abnout these pipes on a like for like comparesen. terro's typh was fast with a scorp dont get me wrong, but its MUCH better wiht a pm on there.. so that plain pops the "scorps 59's and jl's are on the same levbel" bullshit.. british companys are all assholes on the most part.. ether recomending the thing they have the most of/most mark up on or are friendly friendly wiht another manufactor.. you wont ever get the truth out of a real tunner.. malossi pipes are up there with the polini, jolly moto and pm, serious pipes.. scorps jl's and the other assorted pipes out there are nowhere neer the level. anyone who tells you different plain cant get malossi/polini pipes and thats the SOLE reason there not recomended.. that or they make there own/have a deal with a pipe maker

ye, thats just it wiht these company's... hence they get people to do barrels for them and so on.... psn NEVER got the quick times, ryan saxelby did.. he couldent be botherd anymore (too busy wiht his aprilias), they blow bikes up left right an centre. again, just because somone has a fast bike dont mean they ACTUALLY have a clue.. most fast bikes out there are not built by the owners, just claim to be. wheres psn's recent time down the strip? nope, aint raced in 3 years... chisselspeed? never even seen a time posted by them... try it yourself rather than relying on other peoples opinion.. SO MUC?H nonsence gets passed about its untrue! look at all the myths about 4t's... all nonsence drummed up by useless mechanics making excuses or people just telling people what they were told, it all gets lost in translation funny ive never seen a saprinter wiht a scorp or jl pipe.. i have however seen many wiht malossi/pm/tdr pipes.. somone please dump a malossi pipe on there bike an make a vid.. this is just PURE annoying, explaning shit 5 times as people ask somone else, who supposedly has a clue..... next time somone tells you somthing, ask them if THEY did it or if its just bulklshit/nonsence theyt heard 5th hand on the net.
all i know is that i have owned 2x scorpion pipes 1x pm55 and 2x pm59 the scorpion to me felt like a good looking replacement to the standard pipe. it did near enough fuck all power wise the pm pipes were fuckin mint. ive gotta agree with minor.. both psn and chiselspeed just wanna sell the stuff that they can make best profit on. malossi make the best commercial kits and variators etc so there not gonna flop on a pipe lol
As an aside at the last Straightliners meeting at Santa Pod all 3 Top Scooter class entries (and consequently the 3 winners) were running our pipes. Dave (red dwarf) winner, me 2nd and Daz (tarmac tickler) on his Lamby 3rd. Paul Priestly took the street scooter class on his lamby running one of our pipes. Daz also won at Elvington (which we didn`t attend due to work load) running our pipe. Which is nice
and thats why the dwarf lads will get a call from me when my storms built. and psn are shit i had a bike booked in and oh they decided they werent going to open there only good for parts (well they thought a 50cc disc was a 125 one so wouldnt barely trust them with much) and for sure they aint haveing my bikes to setup
I don't like admitting it but the guy is speaking the truth. Never putting a scorp back on mine. I will however be slapping on a malossi exhaust I now own (yeah that's right fire) and i'd be happy to give out the findings.
no, not 172 dyno's... just like we all explained in the other thread... buy a pipe, try it out.. TOO much nonsence posts about 125 pipes now.. 2 in as many weeksa.. all full of the same shit... nd all down to idiots spreading rumours about pipes. funny psn's fastest dragster ran a jolly moto isnt it not supprising custom pipes are on winning bikes.. there made for a SPECIFIC barrel not made for road/race/to suite many part combinations... i for one would have the dwarfs build me a pipe (and still will) regardless of price... your bike is your bike. ether spend the money or go wihtout. if in doubt about a part you gotta buy it an try it yourself quite frankly
ah minor now thats how im thinking , so i phoned up blue dwarf last week and there starting my pipe in a few weeks i carnt wait ,pipe made for my spec its going to be perfect ,,,,..im going to have to buy her own bed to sleep in at night i think oo yer how can anyone listen to psn ,(scops better than a mallosi) that guy smoked some fucked up crack ,look at the pic posted the other day scops in half with i big resriter in it wat a joke ,i dont undrstand why you asked the qustion about what better pipe .then minor answered it ,so u go ring some other shit tunning comperny what up with that
Just thinking out loud here so tell me to F off if I sound like I'm full of it.... I run a malossi MHR pipe on my race Zip, this is designed to work at 13-13.5k Rpm it is at this range where you will see it working properly. A road ped shouldn't rev that high (unless you like big bills for maintenance) so therefor you want something that will work optimum for the revs your bike can handle? What is it on a road bike 10k? So I could see in that respect to how lesser pipes will look better than the MHR on a road bike. I can be 3-4bhp down if my bike only revs to 12k.
